THIS IS NOT A BULLET
Gun Literacy for the Uninitiated

Introduction:
This class is for the liberal, the queer, first-timers, and really everyone who's ever thought: "I want to understand firearms — and I want to know more about the culture around them, without having to join it."
You don't have to like guns to understand them. And understanding them can change everything.
Whether you're thinking about buying your first firearm and have no idea where to start, or you never plan to own one but want to truly understand what all the noise is about — this is your class.

What We Cover:
Legal basics (both State and Federal)
How different firearms work at a mechanical level
Safety fundamentals (always the most important part)
What guns actually are (and aren't) — clear terminology without judgment
History, culture, and context — including who gun laws have usually targeted
The psychology of gun culture: fear, identity, toxic patriarchy, collapse fantasy, and the 'SHTF' hero complex
This is not a tactical class. This is not cosplay. This is not "Punisher skull" energy. It's about literacy, clarity, and agency — especially for people who've been told this topic "isn't for you."
What This Class Is:
A focused introduction to firearms literacy covering:
Safety fundamentals
Clear, correct terminology
How firearms actually operate
Legal context (both State and Federal)
Cultural myths vs. reality

The goal is understanding — so you can make informed decisions, ask better questions, and engage with the topic without intimidation.
What This Class Is Not:
A shooting or range class
A tactical or "operator" course
A political rally or culture-war performance
A place for macho posturing, fear-based messaging, being loud for no reason
You will not be pressured to buy, own, or even like guns. But you will have a better understanding of them and the world they inhabit.
What This Class Is:
First-time learners
Queer and Trans folk
Nerds, over-thinkers, and question-askers
People who own guns quietly — or are considering it
Anyone who wants clarity instead of hype

If you're curious but cautious, you're exactly who this class is for. Come with every question you've ever been afraid to ask.
