Firearms Safety Certification Testing (FSC) In order to purchase a firearm in California you need to
pass a test and get your FSC. Later this year we will be able to offer this service to our clients.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
A gun person who doesn't make you feel bad for not being one.
​I'm a certified NRA Basic Pistol Instructor based in Northern California, but that's not where this started.
I'm an artist, former college faculty member, a Fire Arts Safety instructor and team leader. I have spent my whole career teaching complex technical subjects to people who've never encountered them before — from microcontrollers to IT to bicycle mechanics. I know how to break things down. I know how to meet people where they are.
Firearms Literacy exists because people keep coming to me. Friends, neighbors, community members who were curious about guns but didn't know who else to ask — because everyone else in their orbit either didn't know, or made them feel stupid for asking. I was the approachable one. The one who'd give you a straight answer without the condescension.
Eventually I realized: if this many people need this, I should actually build it.
So I did. This Is Not A Bullet is designed for people who never thought they'd want or need a gun, and didn't know where to turn. I teach it with rigor, respect, and strictly no gatekeeping of any kind.
When you finish this class, you'll leave with ease, confidence, and power. Not empowerment in some abstract sense — actual power that comes from competence. You'll know what to do. You'll be able to make informed decisions. And you won't be at the mercy of whatever you hear from random loud and opinionated voices online or at the gun counter.
